Is this song Indie by making fun of Indie people?

This new song by local Calgary rapper Transit, featuring Geeze was posted all across social networking sites such as facebook. I actually went to highschool with Geeze, he was a few years older than me so I've only spoken to him a couple of times, but I knew him well enough to know that he definitely had talent and a happy go lucky soul. This song is about the irony of how "being indie" aka. being non-conformist, is actually become a conformity all on its own. These days it seems as though everyone is trying to be different and unique...all in the same way and with the same fads. This song sung by local artists and made in the Calgary area, including the small town Okotoks, describes how people, though trying to be different are still just as bad as a herd of following sheep. Listen carefully to the lyrics. I have never heard a song that actually makes as many good, hilarious and true points, so is this song indie by making fun of the MANY hipsters or wannabe hipsters out there? Decide for yourself.
