The Band Perry

The Band Perry is an American country music band from Alabama.  The group is composed of three siblings, Kimberly Perry (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Reid Perry (bass guitar, background vocals), and Neil Perry (mandolin, drums, accordion, background vocals).  The trio is a relatively new band to hit the record boards, releasing their first single Hip to My Heart in 2009.  Since then they have released three more singles; If I Die Young (2010), You Lie (2011), and All Your Life (2011).  If I Die Young has been their most successful song to date reaching #1 on the Hot COuntry Songs and Adult Contemporary charts.  It also went quadruple platinum in sales.

Kimberly began performing when she was just a teenager in a different band.  Her younger brothers would help out as roadies but when they were 8 and 10 years old they became an opening act for Kimberly's band.  Not long after the three formed The Band Perry and were discovered by Bob Doyle (Garth Brooks' manager) in 2008.  Their career moved fast and released Hip to My Heart in 2009.  The group's success and popularity has been increasing since their first single release.  The group toured with Keith Urban on his latest 2011 tour and are currently opening for Brad Paisley on his North American tour.

Although The Band Perry have been nominated for multiple awards, the band's various awards won include:
  • Top New Vocal Duo or Group (Academy of Country Music Awards)
