Billy Currington

William "Billy" Currington is an American country music artist from Georgia.  Billy did not start pursuing his dream career in country music until he was a junior in high school.  He auditioned for a spot in Opryland (renowned country music theme-park in Nashville) but he did not make the cut.  After high school Billy moved to Nashville to keep trying his luck in music.  After a hard road of trying to make it, he finally signed with a record label in 2003.

In total, Currington has put out four albums since signing with Mercury Records in 2003.  He released his first album Billy Currington in 2003 and had three of the songs reach top 10 status on record charts.  In 2005 his album Doin' Somethin' Right hit #2 on the Top Country Albums chary and #11 on the Billboard 200.  His number one hit song on this album Must Be Doin' Somethin' Right had a music video that won Currington the "Hottest Video of the Year" award from the CMT Music Awards.  The album Doin' Somethin' Right is certified as a platinum album.

In 2008 Billy released his third album titled Little Bit Of Everything.  Among the many successful songs on this album is the some People Are Crazy.  This song is labelled as Currington's third song to hit number one on music charts and David Letterman went so far as to say "this song will change your life.  You're not going to do any better than this song here."  After another break, Currington released his fourth album, Enjoy Yourself in 2010.  This album gave Billy two more number one singles, Let Me Down Easy, and Pretty Good at Drinkin' Beer.  In total, six of his 10 hits have made number one on music charts.

Currington has been affiliated with stars such as Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Sugarland, Shania Twain, and Carrie Underwood.  When working with Underwood she said that his "talent and charm" makes crowds fall in love with him (it also does not hurt that he is pretty easy on the eyes!).  Currington's live shows have become known as very entertaining, exciting, and it is clear to all fans that he works very hard and loves what he does.  Fans everywhere cannot wait for what Currington comes out with next.
